End Times is a local or online multiplayer turn-based strategy game, where both players choose what they will do on their turn simultaneously.
Before entering a battle, players must first build their teams. Players will have many options in team building including which characters they take, which abilities those characters have, and what equipment each character will have.
Battles take place with all 8 combatants in a line. Because both players choose their actions simultaneously, players are forced to balance out playing towards their own combos while also taking measures to prevent their opponent from doing what they want. This leads to players frequently having to switch up their strategy and improvise to be successful.
