My name is David Johnson. I'm primarily a visual artist specializing in illustration, currently residing in Atlanta, GA. I have been a freelancer on and off for more than 20 years now but would like to move into a more technical side of visual art full time. My hope is that I would be able to continue working in the visual arts by expanding into graphic design, user experience, visual communication, etc. On the next page (below the Skills/Software block), you will find links to a few of my previously published works saved on various websites & stores. Graphic DesignFreelanceMay 2003 - Present (21 years 6 months)I originally started off doing digital commissions work like logo designs while experimenting with photo editing which lead to me getting small spec work jobs. These included pages designed for kiosks, and banners for web pages using photographs. During that time I also provided designs for various print-on-demand sites where I still sell graphic designs to this day. Since then I’ve included vector illustration into my work, primarily for UI designs projects.

IllustratorFreelanceMar 1995 - Present (29 years 8 months)As an illustrator, I did personal commissions for clients for a variety of tasks, from designing their original characters, doing fan art of existing characters, logos, landscapes, etc. Originally, I used physical tools like pencil, paper, and paint. But as time progressed, I eventually transitioned to fully digital and employed various software packages/suites in my process. Once I became more comfortable with said software, I began venturing into graphic design.
