Counter Staff
Belfast, United Kingdom
Nov 2012 - Present (11 years 8 months)
I currently hold the position (when home from University) of grill/fryer and front counter staff with a locally owned progressive fast food chain. This job helped me develop as a person, teaching me the importance of close team work, customer service, leadership and trustworthiness. The primary skills I have developed in this environment include; communication skills, teamwork, independence, leadership and excellent organizational skills. My work ethic and skills are evident in the fact that my position is retained by the company while I am studying away from home. I generally work in excess of 35 hours during ‘holiday’ periods.

Floor Staff
Nottingham, United Kingdom
Oct 2013 - Feb 2014 (4 months)
I obtained the job of Floor Staff in a new bar restaurant in Nottingham, within the first few months of arriving to start my University Degree. The job placed a responsibility on me to ensure a tidy and well stocked bar (with alcohol and clean glasses) was maintained, floors and tables were maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and public conveniences remained clean. This nature of the job meant that I had to be a good team player and communicator, I had to be organized and multi task, and had to maintain a strong customer service focus.

Placement
Belfast, United Kingdom
Jan 2012 - Jan 2012
While this was a short placement, I learnt a lot from the experience. This was my first introduction to real world design and where I started using software such as Adobe Illustrator. The experience also enabled me to gain an insight into the design industry and confirmed my decision to choose Product Design as my profession.
