I have designed a sustainable toy for the age range of 4-10 years old. Cereal cars
has been designed to encourage children to be creative. They will be required to part
manufacture their own toy car by popping the pre-cut car shape out of the cereal box,
they will then fold it and use glue to stick the sides of the car together. They will then
have full control of how the car will look due to the sticker packs included in each cereal
box. The child will be able to collect the stickers and even swap them with friends until
they get a sticker that they think will look just right on their car.
The base of the car as well as the sticker pack will come packed in the cereal. I decided
to do this as I felt it would allow me to use a much stronger base and therefore
increasing the life span of the product. The wheels will also be fully functional to
create a much better play experience for the child.
It is manufactured using 100% renewable resources and can be fully recycled.
