David Dembowski

Reporting directly to the festival director, I am responsible for the branding & identity design including, but not limited to logo design, poster art, social media collateral, web banners, t-shirts, lapel pins, illustrations, and on-site banners & backdrops.

Originally the full-time designer at Austin Business Journal, I have transferred to the parent company's National Design Desk where I specialize in print design and layout for three different weekly Business Journals (Orlando, South Florida, and Tampa Bay markets).

As half of the 2-person creative team, I work on all aspects of creating our weekly B2B newspaper, including participating in editorial planning meetings, liaising with the advertising team, creating and finalizing the weekly dummy, designing the cover story and interior pages, toning photos and communicating with our staff photographer, as well as creating final PDFs for both the printer and the online digital edition. Additional responsibilities include designing web ads, event branding, and on-site event collateral.

Production and coordination of licensed pop culture merchandise, product photography, and maintaining online store.

Tackling multiple design projects under tight deadlines while intuiting the design needs of each client or blending in to their existing teams.

Design and branding for magazines, trade publications, and marketing materials. Assisting in new-hire interviews and managing the department during the Art Director's extended leave.

Design, production, and ad trafficking for three regional music magazines as well as coordinating with print facility and freelance photographers.

Production and ad trafficking for two weekly newspapers.

Design and production of one monthly and one bi-weekly magazine.
