I'm Matthew Shockey, graphic designer, web designer, and print professional doing business as Creative Graphic Biz. I've worked for such clients as Capstone Ministries and Blount County Health Dep.

A Little About Myself

I live just outside Knoxville, and enjoy playing pick-up basketball at nearby courts, (even though I'm a shorty) and like to keep fit.

Favorite video channels include Professor Live, Blender Guru Interview Series, and Masha and the Bear (in Russian).

I love family, and am good friends with my kid Niece and Nephew across town.

I actually read websites' Terms of Services and Licenses, and can sometimes comprehend them.

Philosophy

Honesty is essential. Clear and simple communication is the most important thing in marketing, in business, and in life.

How I Got Started

As a teen I had fun programming a few games in basic, but I've always liked to draw. Then I got into web design and graphics, and taught myself that. Web design, as it turns out, is an interesting combination of graphic design and programming.

Later, I worked at a few sign shops in Atlanta GA and Tennessee, which helped me better understand the industry at large.

After that I started my own business, Creative Graphic Biz, through which I offer my services.

How I Work

My process starts with getting to know my client and their needs. I work with them so their current project fits in with their branding and marking as a whole, and help them determine the best way forward within their budget and time-frame.
