Junior Industrial Designer
Metaphase Design Group
Nov 2012 - Apr 2013 (5 months)
Worked with a multidisciplinary team in all phases of the design process including research, ergonomics, product design, prototyping and innovation strategies. Contributed to projects for global brands including ABInBev, Medtronic, BacterioScan, IVHouse, Mark Andy, Vision Grills, Blackberry, and Colgate. Projects included ergonomic audits, design research, primary and secondary packaging, medical device design, and graphic design.
Accomplishments
Anonymous Client: The scope of the project was to design and engineer the primary component of a manual dog feeder using off-the-shelf components. I researched, developed and prototyped the design direction chosen by the client for final production. Project involvement included concept development, component sourcing and brand name exploration.
Bacterioscan: Under an accelerated timeline, I developed concept directions for Bacterioscan’s first generation Bacterial Infection Detection System. The goal of the project was to design the look and feel of the system and storyboard usage scenarios to help Bacterioscan to procure VC funding, which they did. Project involvement consisted of ideation, concept development and tradeshow booth research.
ABInBev: During the process of a research program, found a simple and affordable technology that added value to the consumer. This technology was then applied towards final concepts that were praised by the client. Project involvement consisted of creating research stimuli, serving as a research assistant, concept development and prototyping.

Design Intern
Osprey Studio's
Oct 2010 - Jan 2012 (1 year 3 months)
As apart of a team of three interns, we where giving a concept to develop from an initial concept to a manufactured good. This stroller concept will be the first of its kind and will open a whole new market in the stroller industry. Interns played major roles in the development of ergonomics, engineering, and aesthetics. Individual contributions to this project were: competitive market analysis, demographic research, stroller safety, stroller regulation, sketch development, functional mock-ups, and CAD renderings.
