I started studying a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design Engineering at the Universidad Alfonso X El Sabio of Madrid. Industrial Design is my passion and I have a great working ability, so I graduated after two years instead of three.
Although I finished my studies long ago, I keep studying everyday. I believe my profession requires a constant academic effort in order to keep my skills updated. It is vital for me to stay updated with the last innovations in design. I am use to do some research on new materials, technological advances and design trends day to day, this gives me certain leverage when approaching a new project.
After finishing my degree I started working for Fanstudio, a design studio specialised in high end furniture. Under the command of Jorge Goval, a renowned architect and designer, I joined the Industrial Design Department. As time passed I was given more and more responsibilities, achieving and surpassing all these objectives that were assigned to me I finally became Co-Director of the Industrial Design Department and Coordinator of Communications.
I was Project Manager of The Iwa Collection and I designed and developed the communication strategies for Fanstudio saving a considerable amount of money in advertisign on printed press and renowned blogs all around the world.
On my free time I used to work as Industrial Designer for a young Industrial and Graphic Design studio called Lapso, in which I helped in the development of several concept projects such as the Trianna Chair or the Type Collection.
I resigned from my position at Fanstudio to focus on a project I was working with my former co-workers, Namisu, a company whose mission is to create unique home ornaments and accesories using new technologies. We launched our first project on kickstarter on June 2013, the 3D-Rex Sculpture. We achieved our funding goal with a 310% success rate, while being published in many renown blogs. We also had the honor of exhibiting our sculpture at the Science Museum in London.
After my experience with Namisu I decided to move out of Spain. I wanted to work side by side with professionals from other countries so that I could keep learning and improving myself as a professional designer. I moved to London and became part of the design studio Poetic LAB. In this studio I work in acclaimed projects like the Ripple Lamp, the Bamboo Forest or the Align Pen. I also carried out tasks as Communication Strategist and Public Relationships at Milan´s Salone Internazionale del Mobile or Maison&Object Paris.
I am currently looking for an Industrial Designer position in a London-based design studio. I want to keep developing my skills and learn from great professionals, and I will take any chance I´m given to show my best performance.
