The 3D-Rex is a decorative sculpture of a wireframed T-Rex head. It is manufactured using the Selective Laser Sintering 3D-printing technology. The project was developed for the on-line crowdfunding platform Kickstarter.
This project started between three of my former coworkers and I as a chance to experiment with new methodologies of design and marketing. We wanted to merge our experience and knowledge of design processes and marketing strategies while getting to know one of the most trendy manufacture technologies, 3D Printing.
The main objective of the project was to excercise our skills on all the stages that conform the life a product. From the market research and ideation process, to the manufacturing, marketing and distribution of the product.
