Exhibition Stand

I was given the project to design the new exhibition stand for USE. After discussions with the rest of the team it was decided that scaffolding was going to be the main structure of the stand. I was given the stand sizes for the shows that were being displayed at this year the maximum sizes that could fit in the company van and told that the first show was in three months.

From this design brief, I researched and found where the scaffolding poles and joints could be purchased and what standard lengths they came in.
After making all the individual parts in CAD I sketched up some ideas and discussed the strengths and weaknesses of each design with colleagues who would be constructing the stand with me at the shows. A double thickness wall was decided on as it would give the stand more strength and need less supporting structures.
The final design for each show was settled on, and only a few separate pieces were needed to adjust the stand for the different stand sizes.
