Keith Carter

I seek to create intimate forms that are influenced by the exploration of my surroundings. Each piece captures the subtle details of beauty while referencing nature. Through observing I begin to translate these details into a clay language, manipulating the clay creating soft fleshy folds suggestive if organic growth. My goal is not to recreate what already exists but create the hybrids, blending the ideas of human, plant and animal as one living being.
