Cameron Buzzell

As an Experience Designer for the Makah Tribe, I have generated event flyers, planned an impactful climate change dinner, and designed biodiversity-enhancing plant and berry identification cards. I've created enticing menus for community walks, facilitated regular walks for connection and wellness, and collaborated with stakeholders to align objectives. I've written copy, incorporated feedback for inclusive designs, and actively engaged in national tribal meetings. My work integrates climate science, empowering the community with accurate information for a sustainable future.

Worked directly with the developers for requirements and to help Charitable modernize its client-facing experience. Communicated regularly with multiple other teams (design systems, content, etc.) to create low, mid, high, and pixel-perfect designs that were ready to go live. Led and assisted in numerous design sessions, QA’s, guerrilla/usability research, design principle presentations, and weekly/monthly/quarterly updates. Ran and consolidated usability testing results from over 500 participants. Conducted 1:1 and group usability testing on my teammates and my own designs. Felt proud knowing I was helping Charitable’s mission to increase charitable giving in the U.S

Developed a strong work ethic with the necessary determination to meet both personal and team goals. Devoted 20-40 hours per week to training, meetings, film study, travel, and games. Became a dependable teammate, leader, and eventual mentor in the Wide Receiver position group.

Mentor: Shared organizational skills, time management strategies, and individual coursework tutoring to students.

Fisherman: Served as a commercial fishing deckhand and skipper for tribal members.

Sports Camp Leader: Led annual K-12 summer football skills camp that was free to the community.

Business Enterprise Assistant:Communicated and solved any local business problems such as complete ranging from kindergarten to college levels of education. forest and trail maintenance. Assisted with day-to-day office operations at tribal Business Enterprise.

Communicated regularly with both clients and personnel to resolve operational issues while providing satisfactory residential support to all tenants. Created clear weekly work schedules with individual and team shifts, coordinated moving procedures, provided real-time feedback on worker performance, and provided daily reports and activity updates to upper management.
