I worked as a Design Engineer for the Harley-Davidson parts and accessories business team at Milsco. My duties included project design, performing tasks from modeling the complex surfaces of a concept, to taking that same concept through production for various Harley-Davidson seating products. I designed seating products, windshield pouches, tank panels and tour packs. Milsco has manufacturing taking place both domestically and internationally.

Mar, 2001 to Sept, 2001 and again Mar, 2003 to December 2005: I was part of a team responsible for the creation of new faucet and showerhead designs. As a member of this team, I took artists’ sketches, clay creations, and imported data to create 3-D Pro/E files and prints. The file creation process often utilizes advanced style curves and quilts to create the artists’ desired affect. We work intimately with the manufacturer (ether in-house or across the globe) to get the product to market. While at Kohler I have had experience in designing zinc die-cast, injected molded plastic, sand cast, and machined parts.

Our design team created parts and accessories across several platforms of motorcycles. Parts ranged from weldments, stampings, zinc die castings and injection molded plastic parts.

Dec, 1996 to Feb, 2001: We developed the design of two all new aircraft from the conceptual stages into the Production Certificate. The design of this aircraft extensively utilized composite technologies. I was responsible for the design of the firewall forward portion of the aircraft. Responsibilities included the following: Taking a current concept and/or creating a concept; Creating Pro/E models, assemblies and then drawings of that concept, for review by the appropriate engineer; Creating engineering change notices and/or engineering change orders for the review board; and releasing the drawing packages to production. It was often necessary to create reports for the Federal Aviation Administration’s review.
