Instructing 4th through 8th term student on advanced 3D modeling techniques principally using Solidworks 2022. Teaching students the appropriate tools for the job, feature depth and proper work flow to create representations of their concept sketches and/or hand made models are stressed in the class. The class also cover assemblies, exploded views, advanced solid and surface modeling techniques with an eye towards multi-part CAD models that match the aesthetic intent of the designer. To enhance presentations, students will also receive an introduction to rendering and animation in Solidworks and Keyshot.

Teaching students higher concept processes using Solidworks solids and surfaces. This class focuses on achieving the SolidWorks certifications CSWA and CSWP, and, concurrently showing students how to use surfaces to create better, cleaner models to reduce modeling "roadblocks" caused by simple use of tools.
More advanced students can elect to take the additional CSWPA- Surface, Sheet Metal, Weldments and Drawing Tools for employment advancement.
