Upon graduating with honors in M.F.A. in Fashion Design from the Academy of Art University, Aura was chosen to showcase her Fall’11 collection at the New York Fashion Week. Aura's sophisticated tailored designs with innovative heat bonded and welded seam techniques received an abundance of positive feedback, earning her praises in the New York Times by one of fashion’s toughest critics, Cathy Horyn. Later this year Aura was one of the featured designers showcased at the Fashion’s Night Out event with Neiman Marcus in San Francisco. Aura now resides in NYC where she continues working in the fashion industry as a designer of her eponymous line as well as serving freelance clients such as Rebecca Minkoff, One Grey Day, including her roles as the Creative Director for Fashion Brands with Art Zulu, and Fashion Professor at Parsons the New School for Design since Fall 2011.
