Course Information Course Description: Students will review a cross-section of the visual arts in current West European Traditional Art in painting, sculpture and architecture. Discussions and work will focus on historical context of history. We will also focus on developing your ability to comprehend and articulate the context, set vocabulary and utility of history works of art. At the conclusion of the semester students will be able to connect the influence of ancient art on contemporary works, Identify works by geography and time periods and start analyzing artworks. Learning Outcomes for this course: Upon successful completion of this course, the students will be able to: * Recognize art as an integral and significant aspect of life. * Understand art's leading function in various societies throughout history. * Acknowledge a favorable outlook upon the Humanities in general. * To understand clearly the cultural evolution of mankind. * Reflect on class lectures and art activities that resonate their past neglect of art and its impact in our daily lives.
