Agata Bogucka

As the Communications Manager for the College of Earth Resource Sciences and Engineering (CERSE), I develop and manage promotional material for the college. Our college is the largest of the 3 at Mines, comprised of 7 departments: Petroleum Engineering, Mining Engineering, Geology & Geological Engineering, Geophysics, Economics & Business, Liberal Arts & International Studies, and the Colorado Geological Survey.

My core responsibilities are producing informational multimedia content (video, photo, graphics, and written) for distribution in a variety of formats, including magazine content, brochures, internal communications, external e-mail campaigns, and online venues such as web pages and social media. Once content is produced, I am also responsible for managing the content on any one of the mediums, particularly the web. I also manage the Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Flickr page for the college.

Freelance video production and photography. Coming from Chicago, I have shot music videos, narrative shorts, documentary shorts, promotional videos, and live concerts. A recent Colorado transplant, I now freelance in the greater Denver area.

I am particularly interested in educational media and helping artists, entrepreneurs, and non-profits bring their ideas to life. Produced video and animation content for SONIC's YouTube page and website. These videos were used to gain sponsorship for research projects and inform users of the lab's ongoing experiments. Also produced interactive training videos used to to train participants in research studies.

Photography experience includes head-shots of lab members, documentation of participants, and high quality photographs of research materials. Graphic design experience includes project logos and images used on website and in videos.

Also responsible for managing of SONIC's web content through Wordpress. Some basic HTML required for editing themes outside of Wordpress via FTP software (Cyberduck) and Adobe Dreamweaver.

Facilitate check-in and check-out of professional filmmaking equipment (e.g. camera, sound, lighting) to renters.

Account for gear in our automated system to ensure that no pieces or parts are missing or damaged upon return and report any incidents to gear manager.

Perform thorough equipment tests on all lighting, grip, and camera assist equipment to ensure items are in tip-top shape for our renters.

Assisted with various aspects of production for Discovery network shows, including on set experience as assistant camera, lighting, and art department for shows such as "Mobsters" and several pilots.

Also performed variety of production assistant office tasks, e.g. transcribing, fact checking, searching for archive footage.

Generated leads for our clients by calling potential and existing costumers and informing them of our client’s capabilities and specials.

Conducted costumer satisfaction surveys with clients of major companies such as Veolia Environmental Services.
