Design a variety of product packaging for retail goods. Work closely with the marketing team to develop creative solutions to package products effectively while communicating key benefits to consumers. Produce full mechanicals to put the files into production.

Provide written reviews and photos of concerts and festivals for a web based magazine focused on local bands and the music scene. Work independently and with other contributors to achieve the best possible review in a timely manner in order to keep content up to date.

Manage workflow within the department to meet deadline requirements. Work with sales team to resolve issues with ads. Create original display and cover advertisements for clients of Advance Newsmagazines using specifications from insertion orders. Effectively use color, type, and artwork to attract reader attention. Design print & web advertisements to promote in-house publications and websites. Publish tenancy and contextual ads using OpenX ad serving program. Layout advertising section of magazine using the ALS system. Monitor multiple e-mail queues. Create promotional items for customers. Preflight pdf files for magazine use. Cover day-to-day department operations when manager is out of the office.

Part-time counter service. Opened the bakery Saturday mornings, prepared the store for customers. Took orders in the store and over the phone for birthday cakes and baked goods. Worked as a communicator between customers and cake decorators to acheive the desired result. Supervised a staff of 3-5 people to ensure all tasks are being completed and customers are being served in a busy environment.

Designed logos, brochures, product packaging, print and outdoor advertisements for a variety of clients under supervision from the Creative Director. Helped develop advertising campaigns and execute integral pieces to those campaigns. Art directed photo shoots with both product and live models.

Completed various design assignments such as developing newsletter and invitation layouts, designing logos, and creating advertisement layouts. Attended meetings to present work to clients.

Communication Design Department, Kutztown University, Kutztown, PA Conducted client meetings to produce a four-color poster, eight page brochure, and tent cards for an on-campus event. Presented roughs, work-in-progress, and bluelines for approval. Met personally with the printer, and delivered the complete work to the client.

Assisted Senior Designers in the layout and design of brochures and direct mail pieces. Assembled comps for client approval. Helped produce a promotional piece for the company itself.
