The Bachelor of Design program is framed to provide a comprehensive and universal design education- the selected major equipping students with the skills and abilities necessary to address professional roles within that domain. The postgraduate programs are directed towards specialized areas and focus on enhanced competencies. Students engage in various studio projects within the broad lens of habitat and built environments but are not limited to the same. Independent thinking is encouraged while bringing out the creative potential of each student. An interdisciplinary approach helps students navigate the complexity of the design process and its multiple demands. Work in the studio supports various approaches, nurtures student interests and learning styles, and is mentored by peers, faculty, and experts. Design thinking, design process, and design concepts form an integral part of the curriculum which is advanced by emerging and digital technologies. Students are prepared for future jobs by addressing real-world problems, working with industry experts, engaging with design practitioners, internships, and placements.
