Diver Timed Release Float
The diver timed release float was a joint venture between two companies. The external company had suitable RF equipment to achieve a diver placed float.
The purpose of this float is that a diver sets the timer on the surface for slack tide. The diver takes the float and a charge down to an unexploded ordnance (UXO). Once positioned the float floats next to the UXO until the timer hits zero and the top half of the float releases coming to the surface. At this point the UXO can be detonated.
