Oct 2006 - May 2017 (10 years 7 months)
Endlessly pushing the boundaries of performance design in Motocross and Mountain Bike Hard Goods. Combining design with form, function, and safety in a seamless package for one of the worlds most demanding racing sports. I also managed a small team in this department where we designed and developed all the products within the MX and MTB Category. During my time at Fox, I received 3 utility and design patents under my name. The first one was a magnetic visor attachment for the V3 Helmet that was designed to break away in the event of a crash. The second was an innovative tool free locking lens mechanism for the Vue Goggle. And the third patent was for the Proframe MTB helmet. It was groundbreaking at the time of release in 2017, winning several design awards. By combining the construction and lightweight properties of an open face helmet, with the protection of an injection molded full face cage, it was one of the lightest full coverage helmets in the category. The Proframe was so popular, it spurred a wave of copycats by the competition releasing their own versions of the helmet.
