Planning Local House Pattern

this project, on the one hand, is an attempt to discover the place of residential houses in Iranian history and culture. As a place where they spend a significant amount of time there, should be able to fulfill their needs physically and spiritually as well as satisfying the cultural and religious aspects of their lifestyles. A good method of approaching a design concept is to analyze the traditional settlement patterns and building types, especially for solutions aiming at natural climate control.
On the other hand, this project attempted to explore the effect of historical architectural factors on local building's energy consumption. Simulating the architectural elements helped to find the optimal use of each of these factors and elements. Moreover, this project suggests that a suitably-designed building in Iran’s cold climate can benefit from both local architectural techniques and new energy saving methods such as the optimal use of insulation materials.
