Scale Models
The main item in which I am showcasing is the scale model of a late 1950's flash light. The brand name is Ash Flash, and it was my father's when he was a child. It had been hanging in my garage for at least 20 years until now.
Materials used include: 3D printed rear bulb cover, Ren, 1/16 and 1/8 inch styrene, pop-rivets, high density foam, 4 nails, wooden dowels, and a bit of clothes line to capture two different lip contours. Doing my best to show my entire process on this model specifically, I took many pictures, as the excitement began to build the closer I became to completion. I have also included photos of a model widget created entirely from high density foam, and a scale model of a toy harmonica that I played with as a child. Each model you see here was created within this year, 2014. Enjoy!
