Playing Cards
The goal of this project was to create my own deck of cards. I began with a bit of ideation, so far as the illustrations go. I have always been influenced by Art Nouveau, and I believe that is showcased with the card box design as well as the overall design of my face cards (not to mention the title of the card box itself). All of the cards are cut by hand, as well as the unfolded box. I was provided with a die cutting machine, but after multiple attempts it continued destroying the individual cards, and the cuts were extremely messy. I scanned my hand drawn illustrations into Adobe Illustrator, and continued applying the color schemes from there.
