The Facet table is designed to introduce a new space in the working environment. Depending on where it is positioned, the Facet table allows the user to sit on a cushion on the floor to escape from the static work station.
The dimensions of the table allow for the user to sit cross legged under the table, while maintaining the perfect drawing height. The side storage allows for a cintiq and other work accessories to be stored; to transform the table into a regular coffee table. The inspiration behind the material choice came from my interest in backcountry terrain and modern furniture. The table is made from Arctic Ice corian and cherry wood to create a beautiful contrast in color and material that resembles the smooth powder atop the harsh terrain of the mountain.
