i Mat is tactile flooring system as well as a learning tool for the visually impaired and blind. It allows users to familiarise themselves with the indicators on tactile paving whilst in a comfortable and familiar space.
i Mat is a flooring system that can assist with the learning of the tactile floor marking system used in public areas. It also allows for the easier navigation of interior environments such as the home, school, and workplace. i Mat could also be useful to the elderly who suffer from vision and memory impairment.
The material specified for the mats is flexible EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate). Each mat measures 450 x 450 x 19mm, and has interlocking edges
