In an analysis of Jean Prouve's Director's Chair, the form of the chair was simplified into its bare structure:
1. A connected pair of front legs that wrap around the back to also act as armrests
2. Back legs that extend up past the seat to support the back of the chair.
These two structural pieces are separate and can be disassembled and re-assembled for easy transport.
