Considering the design is intended for a medical company, I decided to take a biologically/anatomically aware route. The back is curved to fit the spine ergonomically, with the seat fitting to the same curvature. Incidentally, the curve on the seat serves to force the user's knees upward, into an anatomically ideal position for defecating. The bottom of the toilet also comes out a few inches, allowing for the user to place their feet in an elevated position, further raising the knees and allowing for a more comfortable experience.

Toilet Design Contest

Contest Brief:
We are developing a medical evaluation toilet. We have working prototypes made from existing toilets, but we want our final product to be unique, stylish and immediately recognizable as our brand. We want it to be something that people will be proud to have in their homes.

We are leaving this design project wide open to encourage creativity. Come up with a concept design for a new modern, hi-tech toilet. The only major requirement is that it fit in an existing toilet's footprint. We do plan on having a wall-mounted version, and a urinal, but focus most of the energy on a standard floor mount toilet. Feel free to show how the other styles of toilets would match the brand.

Be creative. It does need to function like a normal toilet though. (Gravity fed water tank, trap way, etc.) If we like what we see, we want to continue the relationship and go back and forth with more of our design requirements and how to make it all work together.
