SPANNING HISTORY--A rennovation of boom shelters from WW2
Chongqing is built on mountains and lives on the water. Chongqing people took advantage of the "mountain city", excavated a large number of bomb shelters, formed a huge urban air defense project, which constitute the underground city of Chongqing. This work takes the urban bomb shelter landscape transformation as the theme. The purpose of "breaking out of the shell" is to restore the ecological environment, expand the use of underground space, relieve the shortage of overground land for urban residents, and shape the "underground kingdom" of Chongqing with the feature of vertical use.
