Solemate 2016
This semester, our studio is named local production, meaning that we have to take advantage of local sources all over the New York City and try to design and produce our product in multiple pieces. The first part is material and processing research. We visited metal, wood, ceramic, plastic manufacturing factories to learn their process and did experiment with materials at the same time.
As a Parsons student, I wanted to challenge myself this semester to do a fashion project. So I used Parsons and Fashion District around Time Square as my sources to continue my journey. At the end of the semester, our work was exhibited at Parsons Festival in Seaport District.
