This was my Project entry for the 2015 IESNYC student lighting competition. Among 200 other entries, i was 1 of 5 honorable mentions out of 8 total winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5 HM)

BLACK BOX is a contraption that has closed black boxes on a turn table with unique environments in them that each convey a different memory. The viewer has to position the boxes over the light tube in order to illuminate the interior of the boxes. The viewer can then look through the eye piece and into the pin hole on each box. The viewing experience will be soft but bright and clear but cramped; the goal being that memories are often very bright but only fragments can be remembered clearly.
