Promotional Campaign
For this project each of us created a short-term promotional campaign for an event of our choice. I chose to do the Pro- Am tournament of the Principal Charity Classic in Des Moines. I chose this event because I love golf, and I love what the Principal Charity Classic does for the community. Not only does it bring in a lot of money for local businesses with the crowds, but it raises a lot of money for childrens' charities every year. I wanted to focus on the Pro-Am because it never gets any advertisement. All you ever hear about is the tournament itself, so I wanted to raise awareness for that. I used the blues and orange the existing Principal Charity Classic mark uses blue and orange. I used the repeating rolling, wavy form in each piece to portray the rolling hills of Wakonda Club, where the tournament is played.
