Envelope- MUJI contest - Suburbia.
The child of mass consumerism.

Where can inspiration be “found” in such an environment? Inspiration to be incorporated into the modern lifestyle that isn’t already shaping us as we speak? I approached these issues through the confrontation of both my society and my environment: as my world is consumed by mass-produced merchandise, it becomes apparent that, though they may be quite similar, some products are constructed out of particular materials or destined for specific functions giving them inherent advantages over other. Why not design the lesser of these products, oftentimes serving the masses, to present many of the fine points of their specialized parallels?

Thus, in the realm of postage and mass-production mail, I present the Perforated Envelope. Where supplies are economical, one becomes two, and two becomes one. A single 11 x 17 envelope divides into two business envelopes. One product for a spectrum of uses.
