Treyvond Thomas

This artwork reflects a lot of the frustrations felt during my experience in quarantine – I was trying to make a lot of positive changes in my life during this time, particularly with regards to my mental health. This was balanced with mounting anxieties over the Coronavirus pandemic and a failing relationship, which manifested themselves on paper in the forms of solid rock and metal mesh. I wanted to ascend, but I had obstacles in the way to prevent me from being able to do so.
