Problem statement: The prospect of flying with a baby can be nerve-wracking for any parent. Parents worry about keeping their baby content and quiet on the flight and about the looks they might get from other passengers if they don’t succeed. Flying can be difficult for the babies too. The strange environment, crowds and noise can be overstimulating and stressful and make it hard for a baby to calm down and go to sleep. When a baby is crying on a plane, everyone is unhappy. The design challenge is how to improve air-travel with an infant for everyone-babies, parents, and passengers.
