This battery-recycling bin was designed to be interactive and evoke interest among the public. Once a used battery is disposed through the opening in the plus sign, a sensor detects it and plant seeds are ejected through an opening in the minus sign. Therefore, citizens are awarded for recycling, but the award itself is environmentally friendly as well. The seed can be dropped anywhere for the plant to grow.
