This is the Aerowind, an unmanned rigged solar aeroplane. It is divided in different components; the framework, made of different sections, the wings, and the head, that controls the entire vehicle.
On the one hand, we have the sections, which allow different degrees of freedom, which also contain the batteries. The connections can also rotate between segments. This all happens thanks to the stepper motors mounted inside them.
When several segments are put together they make up the structure of Aerowind.
The head includes the antenna and the fans to propel the airplane. It also contains a 360-degree camera, used to fly the drone, which is controlled using a virtual reality headset. Finally, it also includes the CPU that coordinates all the motors and signal processing.
Last but not least, we have the wings. They have got LED panels to indicate its position, and the landing gear. They also have its solar panels, and, of course a contact to link them to the batteries.
