Kokulu

Kokulu is a kitchenware set inspired by the Korean cuisine using
stone as the main material.

The set consists of four pieces: a stone bowl and plate accompanied
by a wooden coaster and spoon. The stone plate can also be used
as a lid for the bowl when turning over and placing on top of the bowl.
The wooden coaster is designed to hold both, the stone plate and
the bowl.

Kokulu means “upside-down” or “turned over” in Korean describing
the special feature of this design concept using a few tools for a great
variety of purposes. The Korean stoneware can be heated very fast
and cools down very slow. The food stays hot for a long time and
cooking on the table without any additional heat source is possible.
