Cotton Bales and Other Things....
In traveling back and forth to work here in North Carolina I have been able to photograph the most beautiful southern landscapes. I lived & breathed urban landscapes for over 22 years never really getting to see beautiful skies and greenery like I have here in N.C. in the past. Cotton bales have always captured my attention... bold white rectangles laying on the ground after being molded from the very earth it is laid to rest upon. White cotton cof?ns draped and ?tted with colorful plastic identi?er to complete their destination. The ritualistic gathering of cotton has changed so much in the past years and I just have been intrigued with the beauty of cotton bales against the landscape. I still seek out strong graphical shapes of nature in my work. Eastern North Carolina has always captured my eye with events and people I have met and seen....
