Viewtiful Joe Papercraft - Viewtiful Joe, on the Play Station 2, is one of my all time favorite action adventure video games. As a tribute to this interactive masterpiece from Capcom and Clover Studio, I've created this 3.5ft papercraft model for some extra creative flair in my home.
25,000 - Over 25,000 kids die every day from preventable causes. What are you doing to end this global crisis? Bring hope to a new generation. Sponsor a child in need. Visit www.worldvision.org to learn how you can help. This is not a commissioned artwork. I created this 3x4 foot piece because my wife and I sponsor kids through World Vision. We support this organization and everything it stands for.
Visual Spicer Promo - A spray paint stenciled wall piece I created for my portfolio identity.
Forza 3 Audi R8 Papercraft - On January 2009, I joined the team at Turn 10 Studios to work on Forza Motorsport 3, a racing simulation video game on the Xbox 360. Being surrounded by cars and car fanatics on a daily basis, surely enough, it resulted in a new papercraft model of an Audi R8, specifically styled to the game’s brand and visual design. In the end, the finished model was very well received by the team and immediately featured on the Forza Motorsport blog.
Freedom Gundam Papercaft - A 4 foot tall papercraft model of one of my all time favorite diecast models by Bandai of Japan, based on a popular anime movie. I created this paper model over the course of two months, which included building the miniature model, creating a 3D replica and constructing the final enlarged paper version. The final paper model consists of 175 letter sized sheets of paper and around 500 individual parts.
Big Wall Project - This piece is actually titled, “Honey, can you make something for that big wall”, which is exactly what I did when my wife put me to the challenge. Having already stepped into the wonderful world of paper crafting, I saw this as an opportunity to take it further. This is a 60”x90” piece, consisting of 28 sheets of foam board, 110 strips of poster board, nearly 200 push pins, 2 cans of spray paint, 2 cans of spray glue, 1 can of tacky glue and 4 days of patience.
Self Portrait Papercraft - My first real attempt at photo realistic paper crafting. And what better way to try out this new technique than to make a 2:1 scale replica of my own head? This was a very interesting learning process, spanning within some 120 hours.
Space Catz - I made this 24”x36” poster for my wife’s office using two little cat toys which usually hang out somewhere around the house.
The Abyss - This piece started out by me simply doing some playing around and experimenting with Illustrator. Having developed a theme, which might be interpreted different by every person, I decided to turn this into a poster for another wall in my house.
Gratitude Poster - 12"x18" poster created for Eben Design, a Seattle based design firm, as a token of appreciation. This piece closely follows the companie's established branding while adding a new creative twist.
Abbott - Vector illustrated poster created for a very happy owner of this lovable pug. Several reference photos were initially taken to be used as a reference for the dog's illustration. Additional design elements were added to complete the piece with visual character.
Street Style - 32"x24" poster created to celebrate the art of graffiti. Numerous photos were taken of real street graffiti walls to create the background canvas for this piece. Other reference photos were used for the remaining illustrated elements of the poster.
