Design and optimization of a centrifugal governor (FEA-Cosmos Works and SolidWorks DS)
The project deals with the design of an optimized version of a centrifugal governor to function in an annular sleeve. The project has several design criteria to be satisfied with maximized dimensions of the governor arm, optimized arm location and configuration.
This was a group project in which a 3D shell model is adopted to model the system to execute 2D simulations to deal with parameters such as displacement, frequency and deformation.
