Tilting Art Gallery - From Pune with Love
TAG, apart from its location at Ishanya, had nothing to set it apart from the other galleries in the city. Even its location in the expansive environs of a lifestyle mall was as much a curse as a boon. An art gallery is inherently arcane to people with no inclination towards the arts and a mall with a footfall of thousands could not have a space that would seem imposing or irrelevant to the casual visitor. Yet, the design and image of the gallery couldn’t stray too far away from the sanctity that makes art what it is. ‘We need to marry opposites and make that marriage work!’ was the common sentiment.
