Overview:
Completely restructure the intranet applications to give a better user experience to the users.
Problem Hypothesis:
There were around 40+ intranet sites with multiple urls. Users found it difficult to remember/tag the urls and open different windows for each intranet site.
Business Goal:
To combine all these different intranet sites into one single intranet which has all the functionalities of all the different intranets especially the HR related. One single intranet that helps the user to take care of the day to day work.
Design Process:
Did a closed cart sorting exercise, which gave me a rough idea of the grouping of different functionalities. Once this was done, I created the navigation model which was followed by a user task matrix and user flow diagram for some user specific scenarios. This also helped me give an estimate for the entire design process.
A complete set of wireframes and visual design were also done. Final styleguide was given to the developers.
