This project spanned over my six months working in Ghana. We were give the brief to design a harvester that farmers could use in the wet and dry season to harvest cassava. In order to do this we embarked on many research visits to understand the problem fully and how a harvester would need to function. We then returned to the office, brainstormed possible solutions and began prototyping. First we tested in the back garden and neighbourhood. When we had decided on a few designs that worked well, we brought them to the field to test with the cassava farmers. This project required a lot of iterations and exploration. We ended up with a functioning design and further parameters that the next set of designers would use to progress the project.
