FInal Desk Design: 4' x 8' Oak table top surface resting on two stainless steel support legs. There are nothing attaching the table top to the legs other than gravity. The table can be assembled in under one minute and can be slid around without dismantling.
Appears as though it is floating or not equally supported.
Materials: Stainless Steal, Wood
No Fasteners needed, Gravity keeps it together. The legs are supporting the table top surface and vise versa. The Legs can be moved inward or outward, or even rotated 180 degrees
Bent Hollow Tube Steal. Tricky to not have it puff out on the sides of the square tubing. Had to have compression on the sides while I eyeballed the curve bend.
I thought about having the legs alternate direction, but felt the Asymmetry would provide a better visual. The legs of the desk are not attached so they can be reversed at any time.
Completely disassembles without any tools needed. Here is the underside of the desk including the table legs, 'foot rest' support bar, and the table top cross beams.
Built the Desk for up to the 95th-Percentile of people for Height.
Plenty of leg room without bumping your knees. Visually stimulating, with "defying gravity feel" Single curve for the legs
