McCormick Place West Building Exterior Wayfinding
The McCormick Place West Expansion added over 700,000 square feet of exhibition and meeting space to the McCormick place campus. The Expansion also changed vehicular and pedestrian pathways to and through the campus.
Working as part of the project design-build team, Vick Moore was the designer and project manager for the exterior wayfinding program.
Work included identifying and updating existing off-campus vehicular signs to direct to the new building and respond to the new pathways it created. Once on campus, a new system of signs provided directions to entry gates, parking, and campus buildings. For pedestrians, illuminated glass pylons were created to identify primary entrances.
