DFW International Airport Terminal D Wayfinding Signage
Terminal D at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is a two million square foot facility with 28 gates, a federal inspection facility and a smart parking garage with over 8,000 spaces. Work included development and implementation of a comprehensive wayfinding program for the terminal building interior, the departures and arrivals level curbsides, and the parking garage.
As designer and wayfinding signage project manager, Vick Moore was instrumental in the design and implementation of the project’s system of pylons and freestanding elements, as well as overhead and wall mounted sign types. Other sign types included building and concessions directories, code-related signage, and Federal Inspection related signs. The detailing for the signs was developed in coordination with similar architectural elements.
In addition to the interior wayfinding, work included development and implementation of branding and wayfinding signage for the Airport People Mover station in the terminal.
