"Championship Homeless World Cup (HWC) first held in 2003 in Graz, Austria to improve homelessness related social issues such as drug consumption, transmission of HIV-AIDS, poverty, and lack of access to education. HWC is held every year, an international football competition which unites more than 300,000 people who have problems related to homelessness and marginalized socially to get the opportunity of a lifetime and represent their country and change their lives.
HWC is supported by UEFA, Nike, and the world's great clubs such as Manchester United, Real Madrid, Ambassador Eric Cantona and international soccer players such as Didier Drogba and Rio Ferdinand.
