Water Balloon picture: In this picture, I used a fast shutter speed to capture the balloon. I had a shutter speed of 1/2000 and an ISO of 200. I cropped the image, then added a subtle blur filter, along with a color burn layer style. (2013)

Light Collage: To create this collage, I used about 8 different drawings, and to extract the individual drawings. I primary used color range as well as the magic wand tool to select what I wanted. I applied a large amount of Blending modes throughout most of the project to give my collage a cool and abstract look. I also applied a rainbow gradient and then used the twirl filter to create a swirl look. I put the rainbow swirl on top of all the layers and changed the opacity so that the light drawings could be seen through the rainbow swirl.
Ball of light: To create the ball of light, I first put my camera in a manuel setting. Next, I changed the ISO to about 200. For the duration, I put my camera on bulb and held down the shutter button for around 15 seconds. In photoshop I used the multiply blending mode. Next, I added a cloud filter and erased the cloud over the ball of light leaving only the edges with the cloud effect.

Shutter Speed

Shutter Speed:

Shutter speed is the process of manipulating the time the Camera eye stays open. This can be done in long or short intervals to capture different things depending on how fast or how long an object is moving.
