Designed and validated a 3-arm flyweight CVT Clutch for the driveline of an off road race vehicle. Used Solidworks FEA to optimize factor of safety and reduce the mass moment of inertia by 14% compared to the 2015 CVT. Material and coating selection process Improved service life by 85% over the 2015 CVT design.
